Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella unveiled a major leap for GitHub Copilot, shifting its role from a helpful pair programmer to a more autonomous peer programmer. The upgraded AI is now equipped to take on complex coding tasks independently

"peer programming" can encompass larger groups (often called "mob programming").
