OpenCV: Open Source Computer Vision library

"OpenCV is released under a BSD license and hence it’s free for both academic and commercial use. It has C++, C, Python and Java interfaces and supports Windows, Linux, Mac OS, iOS and Android. OpenCV was designed for computational efficiency and with a strong focus on real-time applications. Written in optimized C/C++, the library can take advantage of multi-core processing. Enabled with OpenCL, it can take advantage of the hardware acceleration of the underlying heterogeneous compute platform. Adopted all around the world, OpenCV has more than 47 thousand people of user community and estimated number of downloads exceeding 9 million. Usage ranges from interactive art, to mines inspection, stitching maps on the web or through advanced robotics."

1024 bytes JavaScript Chess

1K Chess, the world's smallest chess game online
This is an online 1-kilobyte chess game for one player against the computer. The source code takes just 1024 bytes, making it the world's smallest Javascript chess program that implements both castling and en passant capture. The only limitations are that you always play white pieces and pawn promotion is limited to the queen. You can also play two "advanced" 2-kB chess levels.

free patents: Toyota fuel cell vs Tesla electric

After Tesla Motors Inc, Now Toyota Opens Patents
"Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) released its patents to the world last year, and now it seems like Toyota has taken a cue from the Palo Alto-based EV manufacturer. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on Monday, Toyota announced that it is also opening its technology to spur hydrogen fuel cell adoption."

DailyTech - Tesla CEO Elon Musk: Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars are "Bulls**t"
“And then they’ll say certain technologies like fuel cell … oh god … fuel cell is so bullshit. Except in a rocket," said Musk. More specifically, Musk said that even the best hydrogen fuel cell technology doesn't compare to the energy density of lithium-ion batteries, such as that found in Tesla's Model S."
