Implementing Web Services on Devices for Printing and Scanning: (@MSDN)
Windows 7 (and 8) have embedded support for "imaging" (print, scan, photo) devices
that support WSD web services specs. This is "old style" SOAP, what is unfortunate,
since the specs are complicated and protocol not very efficient.
In 2006 when WSD was last updated, SOAP was still somewhat popular.
On the other side, devices that support WSD protocols are discovered
and can be used by Windows 7/8 without additional drivers...
