Fabrice Bellard - Wikipedia

Fabrice Bellard (French pronunciation: [fa.bʁis bɛ.laʁ]; born 1972) is a French computer programmer known for writing FFmpeg, QEMU, and the Tiny C Compiler. He developed Bellard's formula for calculating single digits of pi. In 2012, Bellard co-founded Amarisoft, a telecommunications company, with Franck Spinelli.

Google AI "Innovators Dilemma"

It is quite obvious that Google needs to "choose" how to invest in AI, to continue on very effective "full stack" infrastructure solutions and "good enough" AI massively used, and likely profitable, or to try to compete for mindshare and money as "leading AI lab". That is also China's business model, and is more sustainable. 

I think Google choice is non-obvious: they internally ARE leading AI lab, but will likely not try to make a "big deal" of that, and leverage benefits if and when they come. 

Could OpenAI and Anthropic actually make some real breakthroughs in the meantime?
And even if they do, Google has investment in Anthropic.
